Girly Dora Birthday Cake

A Dora birthday cake for a four year old girl. It's a vanilla cake with strawberry filling and fluffy buttercream frosting. Used marshmallow fondant for the stars, flowers, balls, Dora, and banner. Also dusted the banner and stars with luster dust. This is my first time using floating objects on wires. I hope to do it again. Very girly cake for the young girl.

Two Cakes in One Day (Again 2)

A Dora and a Soccer Ball cake for a brother and sister celebrating their birthdays together.

Soccer Ball Cake

A soccer ball cake for a 12 year old boy's birthday. It's a dark chocolate cake with fluffy buttercream frosting and filling. I'm not too pleased with the turnout of the patterns on the ball. Freehanded it when I should have used a template. Next time I know what to do. However it still looks nice, but bugs me.

Girly Carousel Cake

Cambria's 2nd birthday cake! I hoped for chocolate horses instead of carriages but I couldn't find them in time. The design was inspired by my favorite dress of hers. It's a vanilla chocolate marble cake with vanilla cream filling and melt in your mouth chocolate frosting. I am pleased with the cake and think it's super cute!

Two Cakes in One Day (Again)

For my husband's 34th birthday and my daughter's 2nd birthday! Their birthdays are 6 days apart.

69 Nova Cake

69 Nova for my husband's 34th birthday. It's a dark chocolate cake with fluffy buttercream frosting, covered in marshmallow fondant. I think he enjoyed it. First novelty cake I've done for him!

Spongebob Cake

This was a spongebob birthday cake for two brothers celebrating their birthdays together. The bottom three layers are dark chocolate, the top two layers are vanilla. Filling is raspberry cream and frosting is a fluffy buttercream with marshmallow fondant accents. I think he turned out pretty cute for me never having seen the show before. I'm just happy he didn't collapse ;-)

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Cake

This was for my son's 4th birthday. He wanted a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so I made most of it out of fondant. I didn't want a huge one out of cake, because we'd be eating cake for a long time, being that we had the scooby doo cake too for my other son's birthday. It's a vanilla cake with fluffy buttercream frosting and no filling. Marshmallow fondant accents.

St. Louis Cardinals Baby Shower Cake

This is a St. Louis Cardinals baby shower cake. It's a vanilla cake with strawberry filling and whipped frosting. The baby is in a glove under a baseball t-shirt. I came up with the idea. Didn't find anything like it in my research. I thought it turned out really cute! I did eventually place a red & white star on the top over the little brown river from the glove you might see, but I didn't get a picture of it afterwards. I've had lot's of people tell me they love this cake, in fact I'm doing a CUBS baseball cake tomorrow just because of this one. Also, this is the first time I've used a food writer pen and I love it!

Scooby Doo Gang Cake

This was for my son's 7th birthday, so it's not perfect. He eats, sleeps & breathes everything Scooby Doo. The figures aren't proportionate or even accurate. I'm still working on this. Hopefully someday I'll have it down. But my boy loved it anyway, and knew exactly who they were. I guess that's all that matters for this cake.
It's a vanilla cake with fluffy buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant figures.

Blue Roses Anniversary Cake

This is an anniversary cake for a friend decorated to be similar to their wedding cake. It's an alternate dark chocolate and vanilla cake with raspberry filling, topped with a whipped frosting. The flower are regular buttercream and the silver leaves are piped white chocolate.
